Safe and 317L stainless steel coil has excellent welding characteristics including the ability to be welded using conventional methods or TIG welding.
317L stainless steel coil also has good forming properties making it easy to form into complex shapes using conventional forming techniques.
The mechanical properties at room temperature are very similar to those of 316L stainless steel coil.
The yield strength of both materials is about 25% higher than 304 stainless steel coil, but the lower yield strength of 316L stainless steel coil limits their use to applications where higher working loads are not expected.
